I grew up in a suburb of Chicago, and at the age of 8 I found my love for dance. I was trained in ballet, contemporary and jazz under Terry Fox. Through Terry I got to work with Troy Powell (director of Alvin Ailey ll) and Guy de Bock (principal dance of Paris Opera). In 2010 I was selected to be a member of my high school drill team. I got to dance at football and basketball games and we even won state that year! As a junior in high school I was accepted to the Boston Conservatory Summer Intensive. Unfortunately, I did not attend this intensive because I stopped dancing for a year. But as the year passed of not dancing I realized that something was missing, and it was dance. I missed being able to express myself in an amazing art form. So I picked up where I left off, and started training again. As graduation approached from Saint Charles North High School, I decided to attend The University of Arizona and major in journalism. When I was selected to be a member of the 2014 Arizona Pomline, I was overwhelmed with joy! It was amazing knowing that all my hard work had paid off. One of the most memorable moments that I have had so far this year was standing in the tunnel before pregame. The energy of the crowd was indescribable and as a rookie I have never been more excited/anxious to step on the field with my amazing team for the first time. My favorite part of being a Wildcat is the school spirit and passion everyone shares for the school. Bear down and go cats!
