FAVORITE THING ABOUT BEING IN THE PRIDE OF ARIZONA : I have many favorite things about being a member of the Pomline in the Pride of Arizona. The lessons I have learned from our amazing director, Professor Shoopman have been tremendously influential. His wisdom is extremely impactful on my life and I feel so lucky to be able to work with him throughout each season. Professor Shoopman is able to relate lessons we learn in band rehearsals to the bigger picture and the real world. He pushes the Pride to be the best versions of ourselves we can be. I try my best to carry the life lessons he teaches us with me throughout each and every day. Dancing on the sidelines, cheering for the most amazing university with the best fans creates a feeling that is unmatched. Being next to my best friends and teammates is the most exciting experience and I am honored to be a part of this team and incredible program. As a Tucson native, this has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl and I feel so lucky that my hopes have become reality.

Alexa has been dancing since she was 4. She has danced competitively since she was 11 and was a member of the Catalina Foothills High School Varsity Pomline all four years and the captain her senior year. Alexa has been honored to work as a College Dance PrepMaster, helping other dancers achieve their goals of performing on the sidelines. She is currently pursuing her dream of becoming a speech language pathologist through her studies.
