Favorite thing about being in the Pride of Arizona :My favorite thing about being in the Pride of Arizona is being able to dance in such an incredible stadium under the most amazing program. I remember my first time walking onto the football field and there were so many people cheering, I could see myself on the big screen, and the Pride was marching their hearts out along side us… it still gives me chills to this day. There is nothing like performing in the stadium or McKale and I am so grateful I get to do it with some of the most amazing people!
  1. Makenzie Stratton started dancing when she was 3 years old at Tempe Dance Academy in Tempe, Arizona. She was lucky enough to have won her first national title of Petite Miss Dance of America at the age of nine. She continued to dance winning multiple regional competitions around the country and placing 3rd and 4th runner up at NYCDA nationals 2017 and 2018. She attended Corona del Sol high school and was in both their dance program and on their pomline. Here she was lucky enough to win multiple Best Dancer and Best Choreographer Awards (2014-2019) and be named her pom teams MVP for two years while being captain her senior year. Currently, Makenzie is a pre-veterinary science major at the University of Arizona with a GPA of 3.9. She also volunteers at local veterinary hospitals and is apart of the pre-veterinary science club.
